Poly-V Belts
Today, the number of auxiliary components installed around the engine has increased, along with the need to transmit higher power in smaller spaces and with higher operating temperatures compared to the past.
The Poly-V belt features triangular teeth made of a highly resistant synthetic polymer (EPDM), extending along its entire length. To prevent the belt from stretching too much due to its elasticity, cords are inserted, usually made of braided Kevlar.
It is used to equip modern engines.
