Expansion Valves

The expansion valve performs two essential functions:

• Drastically reducing pressure.
• Continuously regulate the flow of refrigerant entering the evaporator. 

 

There are three types of valves:

• Classic or "L" shaped.
• Block or "H" shaped.
• Expansion tube or fixed restrictor.
